Just Blaze

On Thursday, January 28th, the legendary Baselline Recording Studios closed its doors for the last time. Before it officially shut down, a tour was given by Just Blaze, the man behind the boards since 2003, when Jay-z and Juan Perez handed it over to him.

The shoot was amazing, the studio was a marvel, the hotel was great, and can't wait to do it again. And of course, this is brought to you in thanks to Parle Magazine.

I cropped this photo to about 25% of the original so it isn't as focused as the others.
Diana was my 1st Eve themed shoot, from Adam and Eve. The theme from the shoot was 'Eve and the apple'. She is fearless because i wouldn't be nude outside WHILE having my photos taken.. Well, maybe. She is a wonderful model, wonderful person, and will recommend her to any one. Can't wait for shoot #2.

I call him Brazil

Not sure what his name is, but i would always call him Brazil. Another model from the manager.Started calling him that because he wore a soccer jersey that was green, yellow, and black. Yes, it was a Brazilian jersey, hence the name.

Simple enough. It was my 1st time using a 70-200 is lens and goodness did i get some good photos at this fashion show. Have to thank the model manager for inviting me to shoot there.

What a beauty she is. I wish i wasn't late to the shoot or we could have done more and had more photos and possibly another outfit. Definitely will recommend and if you decide to keep modeling, good luck .  Hope to shoot with you again soon.

Ok, i was going for a Spiderman theme as you can tell. If you look at the photo closely, the entire photo is blurry. Yes, i know. Yes, that is how i wanted it that way. Looking back at it, i think i should have done the motion blur instead of the lens blur. BUT i went for that look to make it seem that it was taken in an instant by paparazzi. See why i did the blur now?

What can i say.. Thank you for showing up is #1. Out of about 5/6 models that were supposed to show up, she was the only one that showed up for the import car shoot. I would love to say who didn't come, but i will not put negativity to my page. Great model, beautiful, and even knows about cars. Would recommend her to anyone who is looking to shoot with her. She does bring an escort, but it didn't alter the photos. He did his thing as we shot.

Amber, she is a wonderful model. Beautiful, classy, attractive, down to earth, and so much more great things to say about her. We spoke before shooting and got to know her so i knew who i was taking photos of instead of shooting a stranger which has happened before. Telling me that she was an extra in I Am Legend and a few other things. To me, she looks like she belongs in magazines. I think she can do it all and wish her luck.

Yes, yes. After seeing him on the streets, whether on Fordham Road, down the block from my apartment, or at my sisters graduation, I finally got myself  a professional photo. Taken during his listening session for J.O.S.E. 2, had to be quick as I was at work delivering a package around the area. So shhhh.. Don't tell anyone.

Miami House

This is my favorite landscapse photo. It has a story to it.

While i was in Miami visiting a friend, I stayed out over night (reasons will remain unknown to you) and walked past this house. As soon as i saw it, I took out my camera, tripod, and took the photo. Then I fell asleep at like 7/8am for about an hour. More from Miami coming soon.

Amazing. I cant believe you have two kids. I was in a bit of a shock when you replied and were interested in shooting with me but really glad you did. That trip I made out to you was the longest I've ever driven. What was it? Four hours.. Then the train ride to you the second time was another mission. I underestimated her, and I am apologizing in front of the world for doing so(or whoever reads this blog). You are my friend so I cant describe how you are as a model. Yes I can.. You are beautiful. Holy monkey balls was I amazed when I 1st saw her and her tattoos. I think I almost fell in love right then and there when I saw her. She is another model I met through the model manager I was working with. Aside from those shoots with her manager, I worked with her one time. Another beautiful and amazing model. I've shot with her twice and she (oin my opinion) is in love with my camera. The chemistry between the two are quite amazing. This photo was actually before I 'officially' got into photography seriously and when I had my Minolta camera for class. It was taken on film and wouldn't have it any other way. One of my favorite pictures of all time. It has colors, sexiness, looks like pain, beautiful female, and so much more. As soon as one of my close models and I met her, we knew she was an amazing person. Because we got along so well, I'll say about 95% of her photos were just as amazing as this one. I don't even know what else to say about her. Great all around during both shoots, doesn't need any direction, can fit into any genre of photography and take it over ompletely. I would not want to recommend her because I want her to model exclusively for me, but that wont happen. She's wonderful all around.

Where do I begin? The 1st time I saw her was in a night club. I actually got her number and we began to chat. Some how, some way, she agreed to model for me. And this is before the fancy digital camera, back when I was using my Minolta film camera for class. Since then I've shot with her three times if I'm not mistaken, maybe four. She takes direction well, she's creative, dependable (big plus), and always gives credit to the photographer she shoots with. I would recommend her to any photographer looking to shoot with her.

Busta Rhymes

The second time I was published was once again, in Parle Magazine. This time, it was Busta Rhymes. I ended up getting the cover and a few photos on the inside (inserted in the blog). This was also the 1st interview I was present for and it blew my mind away. Like in many interviews, the main person talking is of course the known person or celebrity. Interviews are usually boring to me, but some how Busta was talking about hip hop, how he's evolved, and brought it into how it affects not only himself, but others doing what hes doing. Might sound cheesy, but it was spoken like a true man. By the way, he is only a bit taller than me but is heavy handed.

I thought I'd start my blog with an important photo. So.. This is my 1st published photo in Parle Magazine. It was in the Volume 23 in the 4th Annual Love, Sex, Relationships, & R&B Issue on page 30 (J.Holiday cover). I was actually supposed to also shoot with J.Holiday for this issue also but a few things happened and he had to cancel on me twice. It took me about two chances to finally get to shoot with Tony but it happened in the 'sexy Flute Lounge' as the writer, Angeli Kakade, put it.
